The PMC-CAN/266 is an efficient PMC module designed for 66 MHz PMC slots with one or optional two CAN-interfaces. The PMC-CAN/266 module works in bus systems with speeds of 33 MHz or 66 MHz, and it uses a PCI bus width of 32 bits. The ISO 11898 compliant CAN interfaces allow data transfer rates up to 1 Mbit/s, allows bit rate setting by software, and is opto-isolated. In the PMC-CAN/266-RIO version, the CAN-signals (TTL-level) are alternatively routed via the PMC-connector Pn4. Software Support: Software drivers are available for Windows, Linux, and QNX. Drivers for other operating systems are available as well. Pease Note: Because this is a passive CAN module without a microcontroller on board, the performance of the host CPU can limit the maximum effective CAN bit rate value.
